This is the first version of the 5c Washington from the years 1856-1857. The stamp is fairly scarce.

An orange-brown copy of this stamp was reprinted in 1875 and it is rare. The reprint is on hard white paper and can be found by clicking the numbers 40-47 on the menu to the left.
