If the stamp has no perforations (the stamp on the left) then click the numbers 5-9 on the menu to the left. If the stamp has perforations (the stamp on the right) then click the numbers 18-24 on the menu to the left.

This stamp is not easy to identify. If it has no perforations then most likely you have number 7 or 9. If it has perforations then most likely you have number 24. For further guidance ther is a guide on how to identify the correct number which can be accessed by clicking here .

The stamp on the left was often poorly cut at the post office. The value is quite dependent on how well it was cut. If you see the design clear of the edges on all four sides then you have a good stamp. If, on the other hand the stamp was cut a third of the way into the design, the value will be less.

This stamp was reprinted on hard white paper in 1875 and it can be found by clicking the numbers 40-47 on the menu to the left.
