Advertising Covers 1860's

The new process of printing in the background became refined
In this case a more detailed print. Here is another example of the premises
being showcased on the envelope. A trend reaches it's zenith
in the 1890's. This envelope was ahead of it's time.

Cameos became less popular during the 1860's. Due to the paper
shortage in the conferderate states there were few produced in the
South during the civil war.
Following the trend of advertising the premises, came the trend
of advertising the product. A trend that continued well into the 20thC

Another grocery advert from the Confederacy. One has to wonder
if the printer was the same as the Macon Envelope.
