Die I and Die II.
Look at the facial features of SG 17 and SG18.
Both of these have poorly defined engraved
lines that define the cheeks, nose and particularly
the forehead. These are Die I. Now compare
the same features on the retouched Die II of
SG 21. You will see SG 21's features are much
crisper, with more detail.

The flaw is caused by a hair line crack in
the plate that stretches from eye to ear.
