Envelope Stamp

Often confused with SIX PENCE embossed stamps, however three various key marks have been added to SOME of the envelope stamp. Other envelope stamps were prrinted from the same die as the embossed stamp and bear no distinguishing markers. These are sometimes sold off as being embossed stamps. An examination of the paper and absence of a watermark will give the identity of the stamp away.
