1865 Overseas mail. A single rate cover from Cullen to Hong Kong routed via Southampton. Prepaid by a pair of 6d Lilac Pl.3 cancelled contrary to regulations by a single Cullen "87" numeral, red manuscript "1" below adhesives indicating the Colonies share of the postage. Cullen and London cds's on reverse for JA.2+4.1865, and a blue Hong Kong receiving cds for FE.23.1865. Carried by P&O steamers "Delhi" (Southampton-Alexandria), "Candia" (Suez-Galle), "Singapore" (Galle to Hong-Kong)
