It was believed to have been made using a copper etching instead of the normal offset process. It is perforated 11.9 instead of perf 11 for the genuine stamp. Plate size was 10 stamps 10 wide by 2 high.

How to Identify a Type II

Type II has several lines in the hair recut and they are more prominent

On the Type II the line on the arabaque is thicker where it meets the outer oval

On the Type II the circles in the corners are thinner in line width
