1860 Transatlantic mail. An envelope sent from Mullingar to Brooklyn, New York, United States of America endorsed "Via Galway, Paid" paid by a 1s Green (SG 72, Wmk. Emblems) tied by a crisp Mullingar '345' Irish spoon cancellation for MR.28.1860. with a red New York arrival datestamp at left and a red "5 Cents" credit handstamp below. Backstamped by a Liverpool transit datestamp for MR.29.1860.
